The Neuroscience Minor, offered by the Texas A&M Institute for Neuroscience (TAMIN), is considered an interdisciplinary minor with course selections in the Departments of Biology, Psychology, Philosophy and Veterinary Integrative Biosciences. Please be aware that each course selection below may have prerequisite requirements that must be met. The coursework (15 credits) listed represents various sub-disciplines within the field of Neuroscience and would give the student an overall knowledge base fitting a minor in Neuroscience.
To apply for admission to the Minor in Neuroscience, students must visit the Texas A&M Institute for Neuroscience (TAMIN) Advising Office during walk-in hours. During your meeting with the TAMIN academic advisor and upon approval of the addition of the minor, a Neuroscience Minor Approval Form will be completed and must be signed by the TAMIN academic advisor and then submitted by the student to the major advisor. The Neuroscience Minor Approval Form can only be obtained from the TAMIN Advising Office. The minor must be declared before the student has completed 95 hours. We are located in the Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Building (ILSB), room 3148.
Contact Undergrad@tamin.tamu.edu for additional information.
Advising walk-in hours are MWF from 1:30-4:00pm.
